Run and install PiCom
Get PiCom from your app store, or run it in your browser and install it from there. Once installed, it works without an internet connection.
From an app store
The quickest way to get PiCom. It is free, has no advertising, and needs no login.
In your browser
PiCom Live opens in a new tab. On its start screen:
- the green Go arrow loads PiCom to fill the window
- the Settings button opens PiCom with its Settings screen showing
For full screen, maximise the window from your browser's menu. Press Esc or select the X button to leave full screen; PiCom keeps running in its tab until you close it.
Install from the browser
Installing adds a PiCom icon to your device, so it opens like any other app. These steps work the same for all our Sensory Live apps.
Windows, Mac and Chromebook
Open in Chrome or Edge
Open PiCom Live in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Chromebooks already have Chrome.
Select Install
Select the install icon at the right of the address bar, then confirm.
Open from the icon
PiCom appears on your desktop or in your apps list, and runs without an internet connection.

iPad and iPhone
Open in Safari
Open PiCom Live in Safari.
Tap Share
Tap the Share icon, then Add to Home Screen.
Open from the icon
PiCom opens full screen. Depending on the device, it may need a connection. Landscape usually works best.

Android
Open in Chrome
Open PiCom Live in Chrome on Android.
Open the menu
Tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

PiCom runs full screen without an internet connection. Landscape usually works best.

Communicators you edit are saved on that device, in that browser or app. Export your communicator as an .obz file to back it up or move it to another device. See Import, export and share.
